I’m an independent sales representative for ABC Fundraising, based in Mission Viejo, California.Years ago, I was a volunteer leader for a non-profit group, working with boys and girls between 10 and 12 years old.I remember experiencing the challenge of raising money for activities that came up through the year.We had no “parent group” that helped pay for extracurricular costs. We had to pay for all of our activities ourselves.I've experienced the feeling of camaraderie by being a member of an adult team making a difference in the lives of kids.I've also experienced staff meetings discussing how to pay for an event with little funds in our treasury.
